On behalf of the entire Canterbury Film Awards team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this year’s live event. Each year, our festival grows not just in attendance, but in the creativity, ambition and heart brought by our filmmakers, writers, and supporters — and 2025 was our strongest year yet.
From the lively bar to the packed screening room and the electric atmosphere of celebration, the night was everything we hoped it would be. Independent film is thriving, bold, and more imaginative than ever, and you proved that with every submission.
This year, we were honoured to showcase an incredible range of stories, genres, and voices. Choosing winners was no easy task — but here are the exceptional works that took home awards at the Canterbury Film Awards 2025.
